GT Silicon: The Essential Hydroponic Nutrient for Stronger, Healthier Plants

Silicon is the second most abundant element in the Earth’s crust, found in most rocks. However, its availability in soil water is limited, with concentrations rarely exceeding 20 ppm—the recommended level for hydroponic nutrient solutions.

Strengthens Cell Walls: Enhances plant structure, improving resistance to water loss, fungal infections (like mildew), and pest attacks.

Boosts Stress Tolerance: Increases resilience against heat, drought, and environmental stressors.

What is GT Silicon?
GT Silicon is a highly concentrated blend of silicic acid and potassium hydroxide, commonly known as potassium silicate. This powerful formula fortifies plant cells, creating a protective barrier against external threats while promoting stronger stems and healthier growth.

How to Use GT Silicon:

  • Dilution Rate: Add 1ml per litre of nutrient solution to achieve the optimal 20 ppm silicon concentration.
  • Application:
    – Run-to-waste systems: Add GT Silicon when preparing the nutrient solution.
    – Recirculating systems: Dose weekly for consistent plant support.
  • pH Considerations: GT Silicon is highly alkaline—always check and adjust pH levels after adding it to your tank.

Handling & Safety Guidelines:

  • Always wear gloves and eye protection
  • Always store in a locked cupboard
  • Keep away from children
  • Dilute with water before adding to tank
  • Safety data sheets are available

Why Choose GT Silicon?
Silicon is classified as a beneficial nutrient, not essential, but proven to enhance plant growth and resilience. Some experts even suggest that its absence in hydroponic solutions can cause plant stress.

Give your plants the reinforcement they need with GT Silicon—the ultimate hydroponic additive for stronger, healthier, and more resilient growth.
